Aspiration recently launched Plant Your Change, a new feature that allows customers to automatically round up each of their debit purchases to the next whole dollar, and use that rounded up amount to pay for a tree to be planted.
I worked closely with our CEO, marketing designers, product managers and engineering team to design the in-app experience. I helped to define the initial feature set, mapped out user flows, created new iconography, and helped build an animated tree planting goal tracker built using After Effects and Lottie.
Plant Your Change has already proven to be a popular feature with our customers. We frequently see people sharing about the feature on social media, unprompted. Additionally, it has been live for just a few months, and Aspiration has already celebrated 1 million trees planted by our customers!
